Lots of things happen in Kirkcudbright - but for some you may need to go a bit further afield. Information can be obtained from the Tourist Information Centre 01557 330494. In the winter the Stewartry Museum replaces the Tourist Information Centre as a source of information on Kirkcudbright and the surrounding area - 01557 331643.
When you arrive in the town - at whatever time of year - imminent events are advertised on posters by the Cross at the junction of St Cuthbert's Street and St Mary's Street. We have often enjoyed concerts and shows having found out about them in this way!
